Buffalo Trace Distillery Photography | Leica Q Performance
Experience Buffalo Trace Distillery through the Leica Q as part of my Leica Q Summer Series. My wife and I made a quick trip to Frankfort, Kentucky to pick up some bourbon, and while I couldn’t film inside, I brought the Leica Q along to capture the historic grounds, old brick buildings, and the atmosphere of America’s oldest continuously operating distillery.
Buffalo Trace has been producing bourbon since the late 1700s and even stayed open during Prohibition by making “medicinal whiskey.” The property is full of character, history, and incredible photographic opportunities. In this video, I’m sharing the images I captured during our visit — including a few high‑ISO indoor shots that show how well the Leica Q still performs. If you enjoy this style of video, let me know in the comments. I live within a short drive of dozens of distilleries, and I’d be happy to photograph more of them for the Leica Q Summer Series.
